What is Ombré Powder Brows?
Ombré Powder Brows, also known as Powder Brows, is a semi-permanent makeup technique designed to create the appearance of softly shaded, fuller eyebrows. This method involves the use of a small machine to deposit pigment into the upper layers (epidermis) of the skin, resulting in a beautiful gradient effect that is darker at the tail and fading lighter towards the front of the brow. Unlike traditional Microblading, which uses hair-like strokes to mimic natural brows, Ombré Powder Brows, however, offer a more filled-in, makeup-like look that is universally suited for all skin types.
What can I expect during my appointment & will it hurt?
The procedure typically begins with a consultation, where the artist discusses the client's desired brow shape, color, and overall look. After agreeing on the shape, a numbing cream is applied to minimize any pain or discomfort during the procedure. (In fact, all my clients have expressed very minimal discomfort with the numbing cream I use!) The entire process can take anywhere from two to three hours, depending on the complexity of the desired outcome.
How long will Ombré Powder Brows last?
One of the benefits of Ombré Powder Brows is their longevity. They can last anywhere from one to three years, depending on factors such as your skin type, medications you take, your type of lifestyle, and how well you follow your aftercare. Proper aftercare is crucial to ensure the best results and may include avoiding excessive sweating, sun exposure, and certain skincare products during the healing process.

Who is not a good candidate for Ombré Powder Brows?
You should avoid this procedure or consult with your doctor before booking a treatment if you have any of these pre-existing health conditions:

- Bleeding disorders
- Viral infections
- Skin irritations
- Vitiligo
- You are taking blood thinning medications

NOTE: Touchups are highly dependent on each individual in terms of their skin type and lifestyle. Oily skin, medications you take, your skin care routine, and frequent exposure to heat or sunlight can all factor into longevity and pigment retention. You may or may not require a touchup session.
